Guaifenesin, triprolidine HCl, pseudoephedrine HCl.
Each 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) syrup contains: Guaifenesin 100 mg, triprolidine HCl 1.25 mg, pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg.
Relieves colds and cough with phlegm.
Adults and children >12 years 5 mL (1 tsp) 3 times daily. Children 6-12 years 2.5 mL (1/2 tsp) 3 times daily.
Patients with heart problems and diabetes mellitus. Hypersensitivity to Triprolidine HCI, Pseudoephedrine HCI, Dextromethorphan HBr, and other components in this drug.
Patients who are hypersensitive to other sympathomimetic drugs (eg Ephedrine, Phenylpropanolamine, Phenylephrine), people with severe high blood pressure, and who are receiving anti-depressant drug therapy of the type of monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). If within 3 days the symptoms do not decrease, immediately contact the Health Service Unit.
Stop using this medicine if you have trouble sleeping, heart palpitations, and dizziness.
Cough accompanied by fever, redness of the skin, or persistent headache.
Continuous and long-term cough (especially in people with asthma, emphysema) and cough with excessive phlegm.
Patients with impaired liver, kidney, glaucoma, prostate hypertrophy, epilepsy, hyperthyroidism and urinary retention, heart problems, diabetes mellitus, arrhythmias, asthma, bronchitis and pheochromocytoma.
Discontinue therapy and consult a doctor if sudden severe headache and/or abdominal pain or fecal blood appears.
Avoid concurrent use with other cold and cough medicines, antihistamines, appetite suppressant drugs, drugs containing amphetamines, and drugs that suppress the CNS.
Should not exceed the recommended dosage. Children <6 years, pregnant and lactating, unless under doctor's instructions. Overweight or elderly.
Drowsiness, sedation, nervousness, dizziness, dry mouth, nose or throat, indigestion (nausea, vomiting), attention and coordination disorders, hallucinations (especially in children), headaches, insomnia, excitation, tremors, tachycardia, palpitations, arrhythmias, difficulty urinating, and allergies (redness of the skin, sometimes accompanied by difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat).
Concomitant use with sympathomimetic drugs such as decongestants, tricyclic antidepressants, appetite suppressants, and psychostimulants such as amphetamines, or with monoamine oxidase inhibitors that interfere with catabolism of sympathomimetic amines, can cause an increase in blood pressure. Bretylium, Bethanidine, Guanethidine Debrisoquine, Methyldopa, and beta/alpha adrenergic blocking agents. Furazolidone antibacterial may cause monoamine oxidase inhibitor depending on the dose. Furazolidone. Alcohol and other sedatives those work on the central nervous system.
